Registration for the first ever AI-coached season closes April 26

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Combat Tested Gaming community is bringing together veterans, active-duty personnel and the gaming world. The community fosters camaraderie, friendly competition, and emotional support, providing a space for mental well-being and the opportunity to learn more about veteran benefits.

In its fifth season of official league play, Combat Tested Gaming will focus on the popular online game “Rocket League.” These events aren’t just about competition; they’re about creating a strong sense of community. Players from all branches, including veterans, active-duty members, reservists and National Guard are all invited to compete.

The league starts April 30, with games taking place every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. CDT/ 8:30 p.m. EDT. The league will run through June 4, with the last week being dedicated to the final league championship tournament.

For this upcoming season, the VFW is teaming up with Omnic.ai to provide AI-powered coaching sessions for free. In addition to the leagues, the VFW’s gaming initiative provides an avenue for veterans to connect with each other and access important resources, including health care and benefits information. The combination of leisure and service creates an accessible, supportive environment for all involved, making it easier for veterans to address their needs while building relationships with fellow service members.

In addition to the official Rocket League competition, the Combat Tested Gaming community features players across a wide spectrum, from tabletop games to realistic military simulators and everything in between. All you need to do is join the Discord channel to find someone who likes the same games that you do!
